My Backyard

Cold sweet morning air wakes you up,
The addictive smell of ripe fruit luring you closer,
Fresh-cut grass and the smell of eucalyptus holding you,
What a perfect day to stay in nature.
The grass looks like perfectly polished emeralds,
Trees start to dance in the gentle wind,
The perfect blue sky highlights the beautiful birds,
What a perfect day to stay in nature.
Birds talking and toads trilling all day long,
The wind blows a gentle breeze, rustling the tree's leaves,
Cricket chirps are the last thing you hear before sleep,
What a perfect end to a day in nature.
