Swirling deep blue of the ocean,
entrapped in the hard outer shell of a gemstone.
A blast of white streaked through the centre,
like an electrical discharge from the sky.
It's as if the pure essence of a vast storm over the ocean
has been captured by a single, small, mighty stone.

A wisp of a metal boundary around the gemstone,
makes sure that storm within does not break through.
Six triangles then protrude from this boundary
forming a secure, impressive, gorgeous star around the sturdy storm barrier.
One final metal boundary encompasses the entirety of the charm,
grasping and securing the inner beauty of the turbulent weather
in the precious gemstone.

The old, frayed, black rope that loops around my neck
and through the hook of the charm,
seems as if another day of wearing it will cause it to snap.

I dread the day upon which this shall happen for when it does,
I have a feeling that the storm within the gemstone,
shall be released and shall overwhelm us all.
