My Bubby Bear

His soft kind fur
Like a pillow under my head
His deep brown eyes
Like a portal to another universe
He lays there still
But I know he will protect me
He’s my guardian
He’s my birth gift
My forever friend
All that I've known
Through all my years
And a memory of my childhood
