My Cat

Dark brown and Burmese
Sleek and shiny, only herself to please
Dark, cuddly, purr maker
Hairy fluffy dream taker
Aloof, independent, a devil always
Stalks, pounces excitedly plays
Lazily lounging on my bed
On a special pillow, brown and red
Sometimes hiding in a box
Mischievously chewing on our socks
On the table patiently stares at the fish
Eats her food from a round dish
Loves to follow me around,
on my bed and not the ground
Will meow incessantly she’s fed
Be sure to feed her before bed
Dark brown with tiny bit of white
watch out she can give you a fright
chasing string around the house
Sometimes so silly I have to rouse
My precious, pampered house cat
Loves lying in front of the fire on a mat
