My Dog

Running round the park,
Like a cheetah searching for prey,
You’ve always stuck by me,
You chase my fears away.
Always excited and happy,
You lift my spirits higher,
Jumping around and catching tennis balls,
Your tail is always wagging.
Your fur is golden and silky,
Eyes are brown and big
You’re the perfect size to sit in my arms
Always trying to lick my hands.
If I didn’t have you,
I don’t know what I would do,
I’d probably be lost and crying,
Living in fear.
Whenever I am with you,
I never seem to frown,
You’ve always stuck by me,
You chase my fears away.
