My Dog Koda

The day that we got her
Summer was at full pelt
The sun was beaming through the sky like a truck’s lights at night
As we were taking Koda home the car atmosphere was full of delight
She was lying on the ground sleeping like a sloth
But with a blink of the eye she woke up
She saw us for the first time
With her bulging big brown eyes
She saw me
And I knew from that moment onwards Koda is gonna love me forever and ever
As we arrived home Dad carried her to the back verandah
She lied down and slept for hours to come

Years after, our dog Koda is now older
She chews things like everything is a chew toy
But she is fast to learn not to do that
Once was a sleeping sloth
Now a bundle of fur with loads of energy

Years after
Our dog Koda is now older than before
She is now back to when she was a puppy
Sleeping like a Bear in hibernation
But…
She has always maintained her cuteness and company to the family
