My Dream Catcher

My dream catcher guards me at night,
He’ll never let me have a fright,
So I called him ‘the defender,’
The bad dreams always surrender,
He will never get distracted and bail,
He’s so perfect he’ll never fail,
He may not be alive,
But he will always survive.
When the BFG comes by,
He’ll look at the bad dreams and sigh,
Slash! Boom! Crash!
Away the bad dreams will dash,
He is a dream,
He’ll never resign and eat cream,
He’s as tough as an ox,
But he doesn’t wear socks,
There was a bad dream called silly Sam,
Silly Sam sat by the sea and said, “silly sea!”
I don’t know how my dream catcher found that,
But he apparently he squashed Sam flat!
He says, “it’s a piece of cake!”
But I think he just ate a stake,
That’s the story of my dream catcher,
He worked as a good dream snatcher.
