My Earrings

These earrings are more precious to me,
Than any gemstone or diamond could ever be,
Rosy red flowers painted with care,
Can be seen shining through my hair.
Lovingly bought by my nicest nanna,
Will remind me of Hawaii forever
Every earring I will ever own,
Will be better than the flowers in bloom
Dangling drops made out of gold,
I will wear them forever
Even when I become old.
I wear my hair up on the side
Because I think they are too pretty to hide.
Bracelets, bangles and beads I have
But if a choice I had to make
My fine flower earrings I would take.
As gold as the sun
As red as a rose
A better pair
My Nan could not have chose.
