My First medal

My first medal
Brighter than a star shining in the sky
Like a diamond shining through the rough
Like a pillow to rest my head on.
Beautiful golden, what a sight
Shiny magnificent.
An achievement too great to name.
A dedication just for me.
All my hard work.
Sweat, tears even blood
It’s all paid off.
My grand achievement on display
I’m proud I must say
Determination takes over
When I’m doing what I love
What a season that one was.

I got my first medal in 2011 when I was five it was for hockey. The reason why it’s so special to me is because I have lots of medals and this was my first also that season my brother didn’t get a medal and I did.
