My Flower

Through the tangle
Of thorns and weeds,
Rises majestically a flower,
Its stem entwined with me.
I lovingly caress its smooth petals.
My mood lightens.
The world
Seems to fade,
I am alone with my flower.
I gaze at its beauty,
Sprinkles of vivid violet,
Glow like scintillating stars,
That shimmer gently in the sky.
Light crimson pools of colour,
Flicker radiant light.
Like gleaming gems.
The flower,
Like a beloved sister.
Our deep love dances,
I am the bud.
