My Fluffy Pink Bundle of Memories

The colour of fairy floss at a children's school fete, When I look at it,
I see the discoloured stitching that was once the colour of a warm sunset,
I imagine it as an oversized blanket,
keeping me warm and calm on a winter's night.
As I cuddle it
my hand begins to sink into the soft marshmallow-like texture, It provides me with a gigantic hug,
filling me with love and happiness,
It keeps my secrets, emotions and memories within,
as if I were trapped inside a safe.
The touch of wool,
The sight of my own silhouette,
The smell of relaxation and mindfulness, but most importantly,
The other half of my life.
For me to lose it,
A part of me would be missing,
I would be broken,
I would feel alone,
The tears rolling down my cheeks,
as I watch my beautiful dressing gown leave my life
