My Getaway

I’ve seen a thousand landscapes,
I’ve never been alone.
I’ve seen death, murder, mourning,
the middle of wars, full blown.
I’ve witnessed reunions, good and bad.
Tears and blood have been shed.
I’ve experienced this all
from the comfort of my bed.
