My Globe

Clear glass surrounding, protecting the elegant princess
Dust gathers up, creating a barrier between fantasy and reality
Colourful uneven stars wrap around the pink base of my globe
The princess inside, my soul mate, beckons me to take the silver moon-lit star from her hands
Pink like the sunset dress, perfectly round, the size of a tennis ball
She has a silver crown balancing on top of her yellow hair
I SHAKE!!!
Revealing emerald green flakes floating effortlessly around the beautiful princess
This object means something to me, something special
People may look at this like it’s a piece of junk
But me… I see this as a globe that has a world inside that can’t be stopped, even by the meanest of such things
I look at my globe and sigh…
a sigh that makes me feel connected and at peace
a sigh that tells me I am safe…
