My grandmother’s jade bracelet

The jade bracelet
That sits on the mantelpiece
Holds memories
That will never cease
It remembers the days
When she was small
Wild and free
Playing with ropes and balls
It holds the memories
Of the days she spent
Cleaning and cooking
That did not earn her a cent
It possesses the good luck
That will never run out
Eternal blessings
Of an infinite amount
It recalls her big day
Where she became a wife
To a man who
Would love her for all his life
It was her charm
Something so unique
Beautiful
And sleek
That jade bracelet
Will remember everything
Even if she doesn’t
Remember anything
