He wore it with respect and courage
With his warm heart.
He kept it safe from horrible storms and family fights.
He wore it in summer, on the hottest of all days, when the heat waves from the sun drizzled down onto his hot body.
In winter, on the coldest of all days, when the snow fell on the tip of his nose and the ground became frozen.
Even in autumn, when the margarita red leaves fell on the Earth's pillow-soft ground.
Also spring, when all the fuzzy blankets were folded to travel back to the cupboard and warm fires were put out.
He wore it at night and day
Even when he aged.
He kept it until the day he died.
See, the love with him and his necklace was unbreakable.
His necklace kept him safe, so the bad spirits wouldn’t even dare go near them.
Together they are stronger than one million body-builders.
Even his death didn’t harm a single strand of love between them.
Ever since he died his necklace has protected us
So no one can hurt our souls
But can only bring us happiness.
