My Greenwood Hideaway

When the birds babble and the deer dance,
The trees sing along and dance as well
Where the seagulls sing, the crows cry
And where all the bad monsters dwell,
Why, the fish flourish, the kangaroos carol
And the koalas call up from the trees
This enchanted greenwood is pleasant and calm
When it fills up with the warm winter breeze
The fires flood through
The floods burn down
And all I can do is glaze
My asylum is safe,
Except when it’s not
As it screams in an agony blaze
But everything will get up in the end
As long as I'm next to you,
you'll have a friend
