My heart's dream

A hollow town of tears
Of silent, ringing howls
Chapters full of mysteries
A picture book of memories
Loved for a while now
My heart being led away
I crave the soft sand beneath my feet
The many skies scampering through
Dew twinkles on the slightly worn sprouts of grass
It’s calling to me
The sweet sound of the water’s hum
But here I am, only dreaming of your beauty
Miles away from your gentle touch
I long for your salty waters
Crashing against the rocks
Your sorrow cries out, but not heard
Of dried shores and rising tides
I love your calming hand
I love your patient thoughts
Your imperfections and your smile
This is where I need to be
A golden sparked transparent shore
Distressing the glimmering sun
Clear ripples perform a babbling dance
The rush is addictive
Humid breezes float, touching my cold skin
SPLASH
The sound tickles my ears
A delicate statue, standing proud in all its glory
Your fragile cradle will hold me forever.
Note:
Why is the beach special?
The beaches breeze takes me to a place of calm, still hope. The whistle of the salty waves silences me. It holds the peace that we crave. Bringing joy upon all. Uncontrollable smiles inject into the cheeks of bystanders. Mysteries lie beneath the surface, waiting for discovery.
