My life is in my life jacket

Swish, splat we were scared of the stormy clouds
The bats were flying away in crowds
There were no stars in sight
It was a very murky night

We were all extremely scared
As we were not prepared
Everything will be ok
Even though all was grey.

The rain drops were falling like rocks on our boat
We were getting our coat
SPLAT our boat hit the ground
We were all running around.

The water screamed so I knew this was bad
That was a matter we are doomed as death
Our hearts are beating like steaming hot lava

“LIFE JACKETS” they were screaming at me
There are sharks beneath the sea
“It’s coming… ITS COMING"
My brother kept on humming.

Then I was in the Blanket of my very bed
It was a dream I was having instead
“You were having a nightmare" mum said
"Don’t worry I’m here” near your head
