I have this little purple dress,
That’s quite small, but clean not a mess.
I wore it to my aunty and uncle's wedding day,
Unfortunately it was on April fools not May.

It flows and flows when I walk.
It made me look beautiful not a dork.
It has velvety fabric at the top,
With pretty flowers that stand out with a pop.

At the moment it’s all alone,
In my wardrobe in its own little zone.
It will be passed down through many generations,
Leaving wonderful memories like mine, but it will always be a sensation.

My Review
This poem is about a purple dress that I wore when I was about five or six years old, to my aunty and uncles wedding which was on April fool’s day. The dress is quite small for I am now twelve years old, and the wedding was held about six years ago. The dress is a light purple and has beautiful flowers at the top of the dress
The reason I wrote about this dress is because it reminds of my favourite Aunty and Uncle who live in Adelaide and because it reminds of a day that was very fun, enjoyable, and joyful which I spent it with all of my family members. I also wore this dress in a family photo with my mum, dad, brother and of course myself. The picture is hanging up in my house, and every time I walk past the photo it reminds me of the wedding I visited back in Adelaide.
This poem is a rhyming poem and as you may have noticed in every two lines the last word is a rhyme. For example: dress and mess, walk and dork and top and pop. I found the poem really easy to write except for the last two lines in stanza three. I guess I found it hard because I had to complete the poem with a nice ending but still make it relate to the two lines before that.
