My Little Teddy

My little teddy bear on the end of my bed
keeps me away from the un-dead
away from zombies, vampires and everything bad
while making sure my dreams aren't sad

I got it when I was little when I had problems sleeping
so that I knew that when I slept I would be in safe keeping
I would dream about it every night
keeping away monsters at full flight

But I started to wander how it hadn't moved when I woke up
or something so small could beat something so big and tall
but still no monsters touched my head
while I was fast asleep in bed

But I gave it away many years when I slept easy
so I gave it to my little cousin who is quite queasy
so I can still sleep soundly in my bed
while my cousins new teddy is working to fight the un-dead
