As I wander lonely as a cloud,

I pass by the field of red and white.

There they are standing tall and proud,

Their petals radiating a beam of light.

I can hear the tulips singing out loud,

All of them in my sight.

All bunched up in a crowd,

Dancing in the broad daylight.

Then I see a lone shadow,

Wandering among the fragrant petals.

Her hair reflecting off the Sun's warm glow,

Bragging about her freckles.

She hums the tune to Tiptoe

Through the Tulips as the wind settles.

She bends down low,

And inhales the honey-sweet scent of the petals.

She sighs under the Sun of Summer,

And arises.

Her dress flutters

As the wind flies.
