My Magical Swimmers

Waves crashing on the sand
Ripples splashing on the lane rope
The sound of water moving everywhere

Streamlined on a slim body
Bright blue colours in Asian writing
Cutting through the buoyant water
Water absorbing when it can

Porpoise-like movements through the great big ocean
Gliding through the strong chlorine
Waiting for a resting point
Trying to last forever

Tightening on the smooth skin
Nearly time to rest
Stopping suddenly with relief

Now hanging on the door handle
Hang my bright blue swimmers
Waiting patiently to be worn once again
