My New Swimmers

On my sixth birthday they came in the door hidden,
Wrapped in a red and white dotted paper with a big red ribbon.
It was to my surprise that it was such a plain but great gift,
Of course because when I was little my expectations started to lift.
This gift was my escape to do what I love
And I wanted to excel above & above.
When I dive in I take a long lunge,
And when I reach the water my body starts to plunge.
Down to the base I go,
Following the gushing flow.
Under the water I stop,
Then back up to the surface I go.
When I made it to the Sydney State Swimming
I new this was what I wanted to do,
In this particular peace of attire I feel proud & complete,
In this piece of material I always get to compete.
Sometimes I might get emotional because I might lose a race,
But when I go to training I try to improve my pace.
I love my new swimmers the most in the world,
Because when I wear my swimmers and I boast
I carry on doing what I love most.

SWIMMERS.
