When I saw him I knew I would live with him.
Not even a diamond could make me give him away.
He’s more precious than a diamond.
He’s as soft as a sheet of silk.
I told my mum “I must have him.”
We went to the counter.
I hugged him so much.
I took him to my bed
And named him
Mr Murphy.
He’s chocolately brown.
On his face and on his hands and feet he is a bash colour.
I took him everywhere
To the loud shops
Or to the quite school.
But now he sleeps with me in my bed never going anywhere.
But I shall keep my precious monkey for the rest of my life
