My rabbit is more than just a rabbit.
It is a reminder of delightful memories.
The black, woollen eyes stare up at me.
The bright red nose stands out from anything else.
Its soft, cuddly wool is like cotton candy clouds.
It has been with me for the decade of my life.
To other people it is just a rabbit, but to me it is a treasure.
My great-grandmother bought it for me at the markets.
At the Greek Orthodox Church at Kogarah.
Once I was born in the hospital it was given to me.
It lit up my face and I was all over it.
As I grew older, it was curing boredom.
It was a play toy.
A best friend, seeing as I didn’t know much.
It means so much to me.
It means the world to me.
Even the universe.
It will be something I cherish.
From now to an adult then 'til an elder.
I love Zeko so much, a love that I can’t explain.
