My Rainforest

The water was a pane of glass.
The water was as cool as ice blocks on a sunny day.
Slippery stones everywhere.
Fresh air.
Wet rocks.
Splash splash.
Rain water falling.
Water splashing, hitting leaves.
Calm.
Cold.
Petrichor fills my nose.
The platypus duck dives into the murky depths below it.
Chirping, croaking and calling fills the forest.
Quiet quarrelling.
Frogs, birds, turtles and snakes dot the forest like ornaments on a Christmas tree.
The trees stand proudly in the rainforest.
Leaves swishing, sticks crunching underfoot.
Slippery leaves.
Decomposing plants.
Trees silently talking to each other about their long day.
