My rainy day's sunshine

Rain trickles down the windows
Licking up every last bit of sunshine
Darkness overtakes
The world feels gloomy

I’m sitting there waiting
For someone to pick me up
Suddenly she comes
And the long walk home begins

The rain trickles down my back
Water is in my shoes
I snuggle up to mum
And finally we make it home

Mum unpacks her suitcase
And I eye something blonde
I touch its fluffy fur
My rainy day’s sunshine
