My rugby ball

That day I bought it
Was a pretty good one.
I knew this would make me fit
And be able to run.
The coach will be pretty proud.
It was time to practice my throw
After a few days I was learning
It became clear that year 8
Was gonna be my year to activate.
Once a week I'd get out for an hour
My fun would start and end with you
Your tough rough grippy texture
Your bright stickers
So you wouldn't be dropped.
Rugby, running, rough, rules for rebel, rouge, rhinos
As the wallabies hits get harder
This inspired me to play the great game.
The new season was nearly here
Coming as fast as a leaping deer.
Training on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Preparing for the after game hooray
With the high skilled team
That last year was a dream.
You have been my gleam
My excitement and forever will be.
Until I injure my knee
Or become a retiree
For you won't be forgotten
Thanks for everything rugby ball.
