Leaves flow around me in the winter breeze. I wonder why they don’t just drift away.

The temperature is dropping fast, almost causing my toes to freeze.

Koalas climb from branch to branch searching for leaves to eat and a place to sleep.

Standing by the mud flaps, mud sinking between my toes.

I pick up a crab as it pinches the top of my finger.

Fish swim in and out of my net without a care in the world.

All of the animals linger their life isn't busy at all.

A spiky little creature curiously crawls around my legs leaving me with itchy skin.

Flowers are blooming in spite of spring with pollen in the air.

I look to see bugs and leaves tangled in my hair.

But people start to crowd my sacred place.

Leaving me to run away and hide.

The leaves flow around me in the summer breeze. I know why they drifted away.

Another day I will return to my sacred place.
