My Soccer Ball

My soccer ball is as hard as stone
when it rolls along the ground it is like a dog rolling around
when I kick the ball it is like a rock getting fired out of a cannon
the ball is as black as the tar on the road
and it is as round as a huge watermelon
it flies through through the air like a speeding jet
and hits the ground with a loud and mighty thud
when it goes in the net it breaks through leaving a big hole in the net
when the ball is at my feet it never leaves them
the ball is glued to my feet
it may not be much but it's my favourite object
and that will not change.
