My special place

I’m thinking of a place
A place that makes me happy
I’m dreaming of Thirlmere lakes
Down a windy dirt track
To water blue and still
I can hear the bird singing up on this hill

A very special place
Where blue flowers grow
And the greenest moss is found
Lazy lizards sun themselves
On warm rocks all around
Cool breeze moves noisy leaves
Sky high in tall trees

A place that holds a special place
Within my heart of hearts
I come here with the family I love
And walk the windy path
Memories are made in this place
With sun shining on my face
