The glistening gold wraps around the rim,
Scorching hot chocolate enters the cup,
I fill it all the way up to the brim,
I sip the cozy winter days,
It makes me smile, feeling warm inside,
I search around for the matching plate,
I notice the broken pieces of glass scattered on the ground,
My precious plate has been demolished by my baby sister,
I only have my elegant cup left,
My devastation fades,
I feel a fade of hydration,
The hot chocolate is still warm,
Almost empty, I take the last sip.
