My Terrific Tree

Two rows stand like soldiers, waiting silently for instructions,
We are scared of deforestation,
We can spin, but can’t run,
We play hide ‘n seek with the sun,
We beg the sun for food,
Some of us are in a fabulous mood,
Others silently weep,
And our long loyal legs sink deep,
Forests stand together,
Without us, you would have no oxygen forever,
We dance with the breeze,
Our hair twirls and whirls towards our knees,
We are the still, standing soldiers in the forest.
