Two legs, four paws
Sea otter-like. Not quite
'Stead of fur, synthetics
Void of blubber
Just plastic

From happy meals,
To an old friend
A gift for me.

Preys on the spotlight
Like a peckish shark
The ocean waves, lightly
Swimming, dancing
To its tapping rattle.

A blue blur swaying
To the computer's hums
Fat flippers
On wooden icebergs
Its trapped zeal
Inside its shallow coat

One whirlpool of sensation.
My treasure,
caged inside its shell.
