My Trio of Protectors

My trio of protectors; my loves and my friends.
My Snuggle Bear, my Special Bear, and Annabelle.
Snuggle Bear.
Soft and pink of colour,
Made by my mother’s aunt when I was born.
Head and torso of a teddy bear and a blanket for her bottom half, arms outstretched for a hug.
Never shall I forget her.
Annabelle.
Soft body, hard arms, legs, head, feet and hands but gentle in her mother’s hold,
Given to me on my fourth birthday.
A white gown, lips opened slightly.
Some eyelashes missing on her left eye, round and blue.
Never will I let my baby go.
And Special Bear.
So Special to me.
Not he, not she, just special.
Flowers on Special Bear’s cuffs and head ring.
White body originally but now faded to an off-white and soft to touch.
Never shall Special Bear leave my heart.
Snuggle Bear watches the door of my bedroom, should danger come.
Annabelle watches my heart and protects me from nightmares.
Special Bear is always there, watching everything with wise eyes, ready to stand in whenever needed, and always watching my dreams.
My loves and my friends,
My trio of protectors.
