My Watch

Sitting in my drawer, hidden away,
During the night, that’s where it’ll stay.
I watch it as the time ticks by
and the day ends, like a rocket through the sky.
It shows me the time from Perth to LA,
I smile at 3pm everyday.
I’m ever so powerful when I change,
The hour, the second, not out of it’s range.
I wake up to the sound of my watch in the morning,
I try to ignore it but it sends me a warning,
That I should well be on my way to school,
And not in bed, I’m such a fool!
It just sits on my wrist throughout the day,
and takes the battering when I fall during play.
I bought in from a small Malaysian store,
But it gives me the time and so much more,
Aah…the memories of mosquito galore!
