Natural Nightmare

As I look around and see beautiful lush nature, frogs croak in their lively habitat.
I breath in fresh oxygen gifted by nature.
The occasional breeze made my eyes shut, as memories and illusions casted
through my mind past, present and future.
Nature releases oxygen omitting nothing, but what have we humans given out?
I wonder why humans do not try to help nature, despite how much nature has helped us.
In natures eyes we’re monsters, using them without a thought
If this corrupted cycle continues there will be no nature.
I wonder if in one hundred years humans will be the result of multiple
extinctions, along with our selves.
The illusion plays with my mind.
The illusion cracks and I see the wind flying away, escaping the greedy grasp of humans.
If humans survive the reign of no nature, will lies be told
and the indescribable harm that humans caused go unseen.
When will nature be proven innocent? Will nature just be an old legend?
Though we have made numerous grave mistakes I do hope we will unite with
nature and help them in every way we can…
As I reopen my eyes the illusion breaks or was it a foresight, a memory? Perhaps
a message to change our ways?
Whatever it is, I will start changing and I hope you do to
because now we can change, the past we cannot.
