How long will it take before we realize,
We are the enemy, the villain, the crook?
Nature could strive if only we tried
To give back to the land what we took.
The story of its future is left untold
If we do not let its path unfold.
Nature, our home, will continue to die,
Unless we step up
And make things right.
It brings beauty to our eyes,
It brings meaning to our Earth,
And it is something we choose to destroy
Like it is all one big toy.
We play with it like children,
We hurt it like it feels no pain.
Nature is weak, weaker than we think,
So we must serve to protect it,
Before falling off the brink.
