Nature poem

The rolling waves
The eerie loneliness
The ostinato of sea birds
The lulling waves
Lull my mind to sleep
The canvas sky staring at me
The horizon painted orange
The fluffy white clouds, the artist expunged mistakes
The wind seems to whisper
Calling my name
The tuffs of seaweed
My ever-growing sea shadows
It’s slimy personality, drifting into my heart and around my legs
The refreshing ocean; like a fresh drink on a hot summer’s day
Unlocks the impenetrable doors of my stress
And as the tide reseeds, it takes my worries with it
So, when I wonder why I’m such a keen ocean swimmer
I think I’ve found my answer
