Nature Poem

Dark green meadows as elevated as the clouds,
purple jewels everywhere you glance.
If only these plants could forever dance.
I look up to see the dying greenery,
knowing what it’s past self looked like.
I stand there feeling guilty,
knowing we’re making their lives finish.
The more we think the shimmering purple jewels are missing,
they’re secretly lying beneath the garden bed.
See there is still hope,
us stewards of the Earth,
just need to create the new birth,
of nature.
