In a field of wildflowers.

A bee buzzes with thought and grace.

A loyal bee which doesn’t betray its queen.

Gives us honey and flowers as we request.

Deep in a humid forest.

Live hundreds of fungi and critters.

Like decorations in a cluttered room.

Balance the ecosystem with their colours.

The flowers in the field.

Rustle with the wind.

Producing pollen for the bees to spread.

They give us colour and smells for those dull days ahead.

The trees which create the forest.

Stand tall and proud.

Like soldiers on the battlefield.

They provide us with air so we can live & admire.

All these things are no longer at peace.

The bees no longer buzz with their flowers.

Trees cannot grow their fungal friends.

Humans no longer admire the land like our ancestors once did.
