You have landed in a wonderland

A palace full of secrets.

Lovely weather, chirping birds

A land full of sweetness.

Your eyes will be glued to this

Your next glimpse is a vibrant land.

A vibrant sky of yellow and blue

Your feet are engulfed in pillow-soft sand.

Pale clouds like pillows shuffle along in the breeze.

Oak trees snap and crackle in the grouchy, vexed winds.

Farmhouse doors blinking in horror.

Rain so thick the farmhouse red coat is unrecognisable.

The sky is so deeply black

like a bucket of burned, crispy wood chips.

Rain pouring fast, as puddles build in seconds.

Flash floods making headlines, the country can't stand it.

And that's the incredibly rascal and devil day.

Waiting for its return on mother nature

It's the gift we were not hoping for.

But that's what makes it reality.
