Night time

Longer in the winter
Shorter in the summer
Feared by some kids
Loved by others
Where the moon shines
And the stars light up
When the weather's cooler
And everybody wants to cuddle up
The time we are asleep
A restful time to keep
The time for fireworks to light the skies
Or time to party and have a great time
It will come and go
for the rest of our lives
Always dark
And mostly quiet
A time dogs don't bark
It's not there for long
But on a clear night
It's a beautiful sight
