Lost without a trace
In a dark and dreary forest
Terror tipped into her mind
Hallucinations overflowed her vision
Every little movement in the forest almost made her cry

As the trees danced and the river ran,
The little girl leaned against the dark oak tree
Shivering and shaking in fright
Wrapping her arms around herself like a hug

She looked over to the group of trees
Dancing and giggling the girl stared in wonder
Staring at the trees dancing with the wind
“Are those trees performing for me?”

Then reality made itself into her mind
She stood up and dashed
Running wild like the river
The wind whipped her face

As the moonlight peeked from the mountains
Slowly the girl slowed down
She whispered.... No escape
