Once free to fly,

frolic and run

To adventure their home,

woods, forest, and fun

Once free to thrive

To live their dream

Feel the sun on their fur

Its strong, sunny beams

Once came people

New settlers galore

Who trampled on their land

And made the rain pour

Once they were ready

Cages were locked

Animals were trapped,

their home a builders block

Once it’s been going

for so many years

There's nothing left

Just cities and fears
