numbat poem

The small numbat walking on the big log in the hot sun trying to find food to survive. How long until they are extinct? What can we do to prevent this? With all the bushfires and predators like foxes and cats there will be no eucalyptus forests left. When I look around, I see a numbat looking for food. As I get closer it stands still and bolts onto the wet tropical ground. After trying to follow it I fall on the tropical surface. I see the numbat looking at getting closer and then it runs into the distance.
