Numbats

In Western lands, where eucalyptus towers high,
A creature dwells beneath the sunlit sky,
The numbat, striped in shades of russet hue,
Endangered now, we must protect and renew.
With slender snout and bushy tail so fine,
It seeks out termites, nature's sweet design.
In woodlands sparse, its home among the trees,
The numbat dances in the gentle breeze.
Its tiny paws engaged in delicate artistry,
Trace paths in search of insects so wholeheartedly.
Each stripe, a mark of nature's grandest art,
A testament to life's intricate part.
But threats encroach, their habitat declines,
Yet hope remains within these fragile lines.
Let's raise our voices, lend a helping hand,
Preserve the numbat, protect this sacred land.
Through conservation's lens, we'll find our way,
To keep the numbat dancing, night and day.
For in its survival, we'll come to see,
The vibrant thread of life's rich tapestry.
