Objects of Summer

Endless realms of charcoal planes as far as the eye can see
Bursting, beaming, breaking with brilliance
The diamonds from above gleam free.
Glowing in the forefront lies a sphere as white as a ghost
Glimmering, glistening, glinting with glee
She commands the skies as a host.
The spontaneous summer chorus, chants a melody through the breeze.
Howling, hustling, humming in harmony
The resident creatures camouflaged by the trees.
The sultry claustrophobia of summer evenings slowly fades
Gleaming, glaring, great and grand
The lifting curtain of night evolves into day.
Endless realms of sunburnt plains as far as the eye can see.
Blazing, burning, brilliant and bold
The scalding queen of summer days rises free.
