Safe on the surface in my little boat,

I will never look down to the depths below,

Fall in and I sink, up here I will float,

I will never look down to the depths below.

Murky water, endless plane of blue and green,

I won't let the current take me under.

Days blend together like sand and sea,

I won't let the current take me under.

Creatures much bigger than the ship I sail,

The uncertainty of what lies beneath.

I swim and I scuffle yet to no prevail,

The uncertainty of what lies beneath.

If I dive in, I will find I can thrive,

Because the ocean is only in my mind.
