Ode to a Silver Flask

Blue bottle in a silver skin,
aren’t you tired when
you stand alone, tears never ending,
awaiting use in silence?
Blue bottle in a silver skin,
your moony shine glints yet
your heart, unscrewed, releases
a melancholy sigh. An ache.
Blue bottle in a silver skin,
You are a gallant mirage.
Flaking iridescence hinting at mortality.
You are a panacea.
Blued and silver,
bruised and slandered.
Blue bottle in a silver skin,
Aren't you tired?
